Meet Dr. Ristvedt
Dr. Deborah Gess Ristvedt is a third-generation, board-certified eye surgeon who provides comprehensive ophthalmology services to her patients in Alexandria, MN, and the surrounding communities. Dr. Ristvedt and her practice in Alexandria joined Vance Thompson Vision in 2018 and utilize innovative techniques and state-of-the-art technology to offer advanced procedures for the benefit of their patients. She specializes in advanced cataract surgery, glaucoma care, and oculoplastic surgery. At our facility, she works with her patients to formulate customized treatment plans in order to achieve restorative, desirable results.

At our Alexandria practice, Dr. Ristvedt specializes in offering an array of treatments for several eye conditions. Cataract surgery and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery are among the latest technologies and techniques being performed by Dr. Ristvedt. Education & Training
Dr. Ristvedt attended Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Des Moines, IA. She then completed her residency training in ophthalmology at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, MI. Dr. Ristvedt has since earned her board certification.

Hobbies & Personal Interests
Outside of her work, Dr. Ristvedt enjoys spending time with her loved ones. She is married, has a daughter and two sons, and hopes to leave a legacy of a faith-filled life that translates into compassion for people and love for family and friends. Along with spending time with her family, Dr. Ristvedt also enjoys painting, paddle boarding, and wake surfing.
